A yet to be identified heavily armed gunmen have assassinated a pastor after they invaded his church and caught preaching.
The Pastor, Bolanle Ibrahim, until his death was in charge of King of Kings Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Maidan village of Ikosi, Ketu Local Government Area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the deceased was gunned down by his assailants who invaded his church during a child dedication service.
It was also learnt that the assailants who invaded the church had arrived with a still picture of the victim, showing that it was a clear case of assassination.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi is yet to make any official statement in that regards.
However, a close relation to the victim, Mrs. Justina Alebiosu while confirming the development to media Organistion, New Telegraph, confirmed that before the murder, the deceased was shown his picture by the assailants.
She feared that maybe her brother had a business deal with someone.
According to her, “Before they killed him, they showed him his picture to identify if he was actually the right person they came for. His death was an unfortunate one, we have lost a gentleman. It was true we were born as Muslims, but we converted to Christianity. My thinking is that my brother had a business transaction with someone”.
