A former Nigerian Captain, John Obi Mikel, has set a new target for his new Kuwait based club, Kuwait Sporting Club.
The UEFA Champions League winner has his eyes on winning as many trophies as possible for his new club going into next season.
Mikel signed one year deal with the Club last month after joining from a EFL Championship side, Stoke City.
He was unveiled officially by the club along with three other new players on Monday.
The 34-year-old has since began training with his teammates; he is expected to employ his wealth of experience in the club’s midfield as he leads the title charge for the Carlos Gonzalez’s side next season.
Speaking to the Club’s website, Mikel, thanked the management of the club for their confidence in him; he however promised to help win the championship this season.

Mikel has not won a trophy since parting ways with English side Chelsea in 2017; after leaving Chelsea, Mikel has had spells in China(Tianjin Teda), Turkey (Trabzonspor), Middlesborough (England) and Stoke City (England).
In case you don’t know, Kuwait SC missed out on the Kuwait league title last season finishing third behind Al-Qadsia and champions Al-Arabi.
